Getting to know the author of Jona - Trinity Davis
My entire life has been shaped by writing: my thoughts, preconceptions, and perspectives. At just 17 years old, I am self-publishing my work. In my sophomore year of high school, I founded a creative writing club that has continued into my senior year. I foster positive impact through community outreach, facilitating service projects that align with the club's identity. Writing is my way of making a difference as an author and agent of change.
The journey to becoming an author has been one of translating my bare thoughts into real words on paper to stare back at me. I have always come up with characters, plots, and literary themes, but Jona was the story I knew needed to be told with depth. I began writing Jona in my freshman year of high school and completed it this past summer of my senior year. Within these four years, my perspectives on life have been challenged, and I have engaged in much personal reflection. Writing a book comes with so many surreal moments, from the decision to finally start writing to its completion, and for me now, to the announcement of its soon-to-be publication.
